Dr. Suriya Jayawardena (Dr. Jay)
Dr. Suriya Jayawardena (Dr. Jay) did his Residency training in Internal Medicine at Coney Island Hospital, New York. He won several awards during his residency including Outstanding Achievement Award in Research.
He did his Cardiovascular (Cardiology) Fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center, New York. He then did Subspecialty Fellowship Training in Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Interventions at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Jay is Board Certified in Cardiovascular Diseases, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
Dr. Jay has several publications in peer reviewed medical journals. His training and skills include the full spectrum of Coronary Interventions, Peripheral Vascular Interventions as well as general Consultative Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography.
He stays in Fayetteville NC with his wife and daughter.
Dr. Jay is accepting new patients at Cardinal Heart and Vascular Center.

Michael Barron Harrison, AGACNP-BC
Rapid Care Family Medicine & Urgent CareMichael Barron Harrison is a dedicated healthcare professional with over 21 years of nursing experience. A lifelong resident of Sanford, North Carolina, he has served in a variety of clinical settings, including electrophysiology, the operating room, post- anesthesia care, cardiac catheterization, and cardiovascular step-down units. His extensive experience spans multiple healthcare institutions, including Central Carolina Hospital, WakeMed, and Cape Fear Valley Health System.
Barron earned his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care from Walden University in 2024. He is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) and is committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
Barron continues to reside in Sanford with his wife and two children. He is currently welcoming new patients.

Tamika Gooden, DPM
Rapid Care Family Medicine & Urgent CareDr. Tamika Gooden, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric physician practicing in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the foot, ankle, and lower leg. With over 16 years of experience, Dr. Gooden is dedicated to helping patients improve their mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life.
A graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Gooden provides expert care for a widerange of foot and ankle concerns, including sports injuries, chronic pain, and fungal nail infections. She is currently accepting new patients and is known for her compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Gooden is married and a proud mother of three. She enjoys staying active through regular workouts and loves traveling with her family to explore new destinations and cultures.

Cynthia Melvin, AGNP
Rapid Care Family Medicine & Urgent CareCynthia Melvin, AGNP, is an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner with more than 12 years of experience in nursing. Her passion for compassionate, patient-centered care inspired her to advance her education and become a nurse practitioner, allowing her to play a greater role in diagnosing, treating, and managing her patients’ health.
Cynthia earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Alamance Community College and graduated from Maryville University’s Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program in May 2026. She is committed to lifelong learning and providing evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Outside of work, Cynthia enjoys spending time with her husband, Brady, and their five children. She also enjoys traveling, spending time with family, and relaxing at home.
